  1. Will Casey win the championship again this year? YES ( at least I hope he does, it will be close)

He has his bike working properly now, and he is on a roll with 3 wins in a row. He knows he can beat both rossi and Pedrosa and he has the determination to win it again.

As for those who say he isn't as good as rossi, remember this, Casey won his first motogp championship at a youngher age than rossi was (he is the second youngest winner ever in the premier class, Freddie Spencer was the youngest)

He is riding flawlessly again as he did last year, and both rossi and Pedrosa know that he is a threat to their championship hopes. To all you rossi fans out there, you fail to see rossi's biggest flaw, he cracks under pressure, he fell off at assen, and will most likely throw it away again before the season is over.

As for Hayden being a threat next year on the ducati, think about this, both elias and melandri have beaten rossi previously in gp races, and neither of them can ride the ducati like Casey can, so I don't think Nicky will be much better on it.

And rossi's time is over, there is a new master now, it's the Stoner Age!!!!!

  2. This is turning out to be an amazing MotoGP season. I don't think anyone has it in spades. Stoner is starting to show signs of last season, but he had a slow start. He, by no means, has it locked up...so, if you bet the house, you better be willing to be homeless! Rossi is far too good a rider (and current points leader) to be counted out.  Stoner has a LONG way to go before he can be considered nearly as good as "The Doctor"   Finally, truth be told, had it not been for a crash in the rain last weekend. Pedrosa would be in the overall points leader, with Rossi 2nd, and Stoner 3rd. If I had to pick the Champ now...I think it's Pedrosa's year. So...No...I don't think Stoner will repeat.

  3. 3 in a row now for the kid from kurri, and he will probly make it another 3, he's riding with confidence, he cant be beaten!

put your house on him to win the championship!

    aussie aussie aussie!

  4. Stoner will not win it all. If he does, more power to him, but it's gonna be close. This years MotoGP is unbelievably competitive! I look for one of the Americans to win this weekend at Laguna...especially Hayden after he disappointed there last season. Also watch out for both Edwards and Spies. Rossi is going to be the favorite at both San Marino, Italy and Malaysia. Hayden is the ONLY rider who has run the Indianapolis track, so he has an edge there. Pedrosa is going to win at Valencia, and Stoner will most likely take his home track at Philips Island. Bottom Line...it's too close to call. My money is on Rossi or Pedrosa for the overall Champ. Finally...look out for Hayden next year as he makes the jump to Ducati! Enjoy the rest of the season gang...it's gonna be a good one!!!

  5. Never count out the Doctor, plus he has a 20 point lead.

  6. i dont root against anyone in moto gp, but stoner is the acception.  and that is only because of his dominance last season.  he seems very strong, and shows no signs of slowing down the rest of the way.

i am afraid he might pull through...

i hope nicky hayden or colin edwards get a win stateside, especially colin.  he wants that first win soooo bad.

  7. Its a possibility, I think he will take beating at laguna. it was only the Suzuki of Chris Vermulen that stayed with him throughout the weekend last time. Ben is going to be to watch.

Bruno is another I think he will win, But then again Rossi is on the Bridgestones this time around. and I think he could take the rest. But that's assuming Pedrossa is not going to be fit at Laguna or Bruno. and It also assumes that Stoner stays off the 09 bike.  to answer the question

I have no Idea. and I am so happy about the fact I'm going to watch every second its on TV with a great big grin on my face. To be honest if the season keeps on like this I don't care whether he does or not.  Just as long as they keep racing towards Valencia as closely as they are now.

  8. Stoner ,Rossi and Pedrosa are all so close on points but thier are still alot of points up for grabs .I feel as though Stoner his going to have to fight his way from now on , but feel he will maintain his title if he doesnt drop it or has the problems that he had after Qatar.

  9. Hey Davjam

I don't think he will get pipped at the post - but he may steal it at the last minute!

They have just announced on MotoGP.com that Pedrosa IS going to the States this weekend, so even if he picks up a few points - it wil keep things close at the top of the leader board (yippeee!)

As others have said earlier, it's been a great season for spectators because of the unpredictable nature of the racing this year, and you have gotta like Nicky Haydon for a win this weekend (or Edwards - or even Spies) to steal some points from the sharp end of the pack.

So in summary, will just paraphrase Proc's last paragraph and hope I am as pissed as he was when he wrote it! (and watching all the races live with a beer in my hand!) and really looking forward to the rest of the season.   ;o)

  10. there is a 51% chance if rossi finshes in 4 or lower. I  think he will smash them all

  11. Who knows what can happen in motorsport racing.  He had a bit of luck on his side to take the win in the last race and good on him if he can have back to back wins, but luck can be a fickle thing and I wouldn't put all my money on it being a certainty.

    Will say Oii, Oii, Oii!

  12. 7 races to go and no clear leader for the title ..... yet.

Casey will win at Indy. Even Marco might do well there. That banking is super fast and will suit the Duke.

As for the rest of the tracks ........ to much to give still.

Dont count out Nicky & Colin taking a 1 /2 this weekend at Laguna, so that could be some mayor points going missing.

My money : Rossi all the way.
