Will Casino Drive Run in the Breeder's Classic?

Last I heard his connections said he might.  Due to the trouble of flying a horse all the way over from Japan and then complying with the quarantine, they said it didn't make sense to bring the horse back for the Travers but they might for the Breeder's Cup.

Their plans are to return to the US.  The obvious move is to aim for the Breeders Cup.  He can't stay here from now until then because there's rules about how long you're allowed to keep your horse in the US.  So they had to take him home for now and they'll return in the fall.

I hope that Casino Drive is there.  His connections seem to really want to race in the US.  Hopefully we'll see CD against "The Big Brown Horse" (whom shall remain nameless at this point but they say he has a white patch on one of his sides).  

Curlin may not be there because his trainer -A$$musen- is thinking that they might run him in the Prix de l'Arc and the Japan Cup instead of the BC Classic again.  But, I doubt that Curlin's owners (Jess Jackson, et al.) would allow the horse to not go for the fame of winning the BC Classic twice (you know like my personal fave...TIZNOW!!!).

its a (wait and see) thing, alot can happen to a horse in a week, not to mention a few months!

but his owners will try to get the much anticipated clash with big brown in the breeders classic, and as a few other answer's have said quarantine plays a big part, owners would prefer not to travel if it means there horses are locked up in quarantine for too long! and there may be strict quarantine procedures with the equine influenza (a possibly fatal illness for horses) out breaks in japan last year!

for example....... a horse coming from japan must spend 60 days in quarantine in a neutral country before travelling to Australia (were I'm from) then spend another 60 days in quarantine when arriving in Australia, this is all due to the recent outbreaks of EI (equine influenza).

personally i hope he does travel back to the US for the breeders classic, he's a very good horse!

At last report, he was expected to run in the Breeder's Cup. .

That is going to be a hot race this year expecially if Curlin is there along with Big Brown.

Casino Drive will run in the Breeders Cup Classic, hopefully against Big Brown and Curlin, and will have a prep race in the US before.
