My cat recently escaped my house for 2 1/2 weeks. I managed to humane trap him took him to the vet. They did do a medicated bath on him, but i was checking him again for fleas which suprisingly he has No fleas after 2 1/2 weeks. Wondering if he has a tick would he scratch or bite at it. Was feeling his skin and trying to look but just keep finding areas that look like scabs and one big black scab looking thing that's way too big to be a tick. i think.

  1. It could definitely be a tick, as they swell with blood the longer they are attatched to the animal. And also, if she has any type of mysterious sore you need to take her to the vet because cats' sores seal over and turn into abcesses which are nasty infections under the skin that will eventually burt and be very messy.

  2. ticks can get huge! look at this pic.

  3. Cats will pick any foreign thing on their body....remove it....

A scab..they will scratch at it because it itches...

A tick will be hanging loosly off the skin (the body)...only the pincers attached

    May only have HOT spots
