  1. It will work more efficiently than corn ethanol.  The Brazilians use sugarcan ethanol which is highly efficient, and due to that they don't have to import oil.  

    Aside from that, they haven't really perfected cellulose ethanol yet.


  2. It has the potential but I doubt it. The main reason ethanol is not viable is that it's made from corn, which in of the most heavily subsidized and consumed food in America. High fructose corn syrup in so many foods. We have to decide if we care more about filling our stomachs or more about filling our tanks.

  3. that's cellulostic ethanol, and yes it will because this technology doesn't require using food lands to produce feul.

    Cellulostic ethanol is made by breaking down the bonds in sawdust, and other kinds of waste by products, not important food crops like corn, which is the primary source of ethanol in the USA right now.
