Will Chad Pennington and the Dolphins do better than Favre and the Jets?

Question

The Jets are still better than the dolphins on D, but niether D is anything more than a joke. Both teams are going to have to rely on thier offenses to win games. I actually think overall the dolphins are better on offense than the Jets. The Jets have the better QB in Farve - but historically good quarterbacks who close their careers with new teams have not done well. Montana did alright but none of the rest like Nammoth, Unitis or any of those guys did anything.

The dolphins have a better running game, and decent receivers. The Jets don't really have recievers like Donald Driver that utilize what favre does best. The jets don't have anything consistant for a running game.

No. The Dolphins are going to for the quick fix and Pennington is just the short term solution.

Are you nuts?  Favre was the only missing ingredient from the Jets offense.  They are going to be a powerhouse this year offensively speaking.  Between him tossing long bombs for TD's to Jerricho Cotchery and Laverneous Coles finally getting a QB that can hit him. The passin game for them is goin to be crazy.  Which will in turn allow Thomas Jones to have a career season on the ground.  I wouldnt be suprised to see the jets finish 12-4 this season and I think they will split the series with NE. I dont believe people put them in the same sentence with Miami.

No......  but they're both still not that great of a team.  I'd give a edge to the Jets for now but the way I see it, they both have not found a long term QB for the team.  Favre is old and isn't a franchise QB where you can build your team around anymore.  Yes, he can still play but for how long 2 or 3 years if that?  Pennington on the other hand is still relatively young but doesn't have the arm strength to stretch the field.  He'll be ok for now while they try to develop the other QBs into a franchise player.  This year though, the Jets might have a better record than the Dolphins... but not by much.

No. Chad will be injured early in the season. If forced to play, he'll be too rattled.

I think that Chad will give the Fins a chance to be more competitive but they will not be better than the Jets this year or for the next 2 years

No, Favre and the Jets will be 10-6. And, Pennington and the Dolphins will be 6-10.

Both are bad teams.  The Jets are the better of the 2 though.  Jets will go 8-8.  Dolphins will go 5-11.
