Will Chan Sung Jung win at UFC 140 or will Mark Hominick celebrate on home soil – UFC Special
The 24-year old South Korean mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Chan Sung Jung will face Canadian MMA fighter Mark Hominick at UFC 140. The event, which is produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), will be held in Toronto,
Canada on December 10, 2011. 29-year old hometown fighter Hominick would be eager to win in his hometown.
Hominick, who is also known as The Machine in the MMA and UFC circuit, will have his hands full when he would face the Korean in a bout which is expected to put the fans on the edge of their seats. The Canadian would want to make
UFC 140 a winning moment for him. He would be supported by his hometown crowd when he would go against Jung, his opponent from South Korea, nicknamed the Korean Zombie.
Entering into the bout, Hominick would have an upper hand for his waste experience in the MMA and UFC division. He has won a total of twenty bouts in his career with nine losses. On the other hand, Jung has won eleven fights in
his career and lost three bouts.None of the two fighters has ever come out from a fight as a result of a draw.
This means that they have the potential to end the fight, by either winning the bout or by coming out as a loser. For their bout at UFC 140, one would expect that the two fighters would go down to the end of the bout and will not
look for any shortcuts.
Hominick won five fights in a row from July 2008 to January 2011 and lost to Brazilian MMA fighter Jose Aldo at UFC 129 in April 2011. He could have extended his five match winning run to a sixth straight win but Aldo won the bout
by a unanimous result. Hominick would not want to lose against the South Korean through a unanimous decision and would want to either win the fight by a unanimous decision or knockout the South Korean.
On the other hand, Jung won nine straight fights from June 2007 to March 2009 but after losing three fights, he won at UFC Fight Night event in March 2011. Both fighters have had impressive wins in their careers and both will be
on top of their game when they enter the UFC octagon at UFC 140. If the South Korean would be defiant in beating Hominick in his hometown, then Hominick would also be willing to knockout Jung in Toronto.
