Our world is continuously changing.  It has done so for thousands of years.  If global warming continues then Chennai may be under water.  There are lots of questions about global warming that have not been definitely answered.  Questions such as, "Is man's burning of fossil fuels a contributor to global warming?"  Some people will automatically answer that question with a yes, but they cannot produce any substantial evidence to support it.  Al Gore's book and movie were based more upon theory and speculation than upon actual scientific findings.  The other question that must be answered is, "How fast is the earth warming, and it is a temporary or permanent warming?"  Chennai may not end up under water at all.  If it does, it may take tens of thousands of years or only decades.  The most important question to ask is, "What if human beings stop burning all fossil fuels, but the Earth keeps warming?  Then what will we do?"  Perhaps the earth warming is just a normal part of our planet's warming and cooling trends that have been going on for centuries.  Of course scientist today would not know what temperature the earth was 2000 years ago.  Check out the article below.  It is very informative.
