Already has.



Gender imballance (increased employment competition, human trafficking, increased prostitution and violent crimes against women).  

Little Emperor Syndrome (anti-social behaviour, inability to work collectively, consumerism)

Inability to support aging generations.



Infanticide.  

The list goes on...

It already has started to make big problems as china is now getting over populated by males as they are preferred babies and female babies are aborted of left out to die.

As of right now no i don't think so.  I am sure when the population is more in check they will do away with it.

first born children are usually bosser, younger children are the babies, and are used to being the baby, middle children are the negotiators. if china has only one child, and that first generation that comes out of this policy are bossy and can't work with other people, china could be in trouble.

then again, it's better than having the country crowded.
