Will China be allowed to cheat their way to more medals?

Any one notice the huge difference in scoring between the china and others not to mention they had two athletes that are under age! In the gymnastics event!

I've only seen the American so far.  And their floor routines leave much to be desired.  Just tuned in actually.

Their men won the medals fair and square.  Just because of the questionable ages (just because they look very young doesn't mean they are underage - they could very well be 16) of the chinese gymnasts doesn't mean none of their athletes deserve their medals.  Their synchronized diving was amazing - well merited.

In gymnastics the U.S. isnt far behind china and they messed up alottt.

They still arent positive that those girls are under age even though they do look about 12.

It is their home town so they have an advatage. But i dont think there are even that many chinese judges.

Also chinese do work very hard.

No kidding. There is no way the Chinese girls are all 16+. Communist China makes those passports so I'm not convinced. The judges are anti-American.

Speaking from years of experience as a pediatrician, and examining thousands of children in my practice, those gymnasts are not 16.  Maybe 13 or 14, but more more likely 11 or 12.  Even accounting for the delayed puberty and maturation that occurs in hyper-athletic girls, I still feel they are pre-teen.  Nevertheless, they are very good at what they do.  It would have been nice if this was an honest competition rather than a tarnished medal.  But this is what happens in intense athletic competition - honest play is sacrificed and people will cheat to win.  It's human nature.

You're American aren't you?  I'm trying to remain unbiased and avoid stereotypes, but people like you are making it so difficult.  These kinds of questions are the exact reason why people of other countries think Americans are arrogant winners and ungrateful losers.

There's no controversy, you don't hear the American team complain about unfair judging, simply put, China deserves the medal.  Stop being jealous and enjoy the Olympic Games.

Yes, it is slightly biased towards China, but China is far from cheating into medals.

look as for cheating you cant really prove it. the judges in my opinion my have been a little bias but im an american. i mean the same mistake was made on both sides during the ladies beam event yet china came out with a lead. As far as the age is concerned chances are we will read in the papers in 6 months the chinese were under age but it wont mean anything. although i must say if u think the judges are all unbiased your just kiding yourself but hey do what u have got to make yourself justify the outcome.

You understand that the judges come from all over the world and in no way favor one country over another, don't you? Maybe not.

And the officials were satisfied that the gymnasts birth certificates were legitimate. Do you have some inside knowledge that they don't?

Well congrats China on beating the U.S. with underage girls! kudos for you...the only way you can win it.. and judges if the chinese make big mistake u should never reward them with a 16.00 score..

Hey, if the Chinese won, and did it without breaking the rules I would say "Hey, good for them. They're talent young women." But they aren't young women. They are little girls and there was a rule. If you are going to set a rule for everyone to follow, EVERYONE has to follow. I am with Bela Karolyi...if the whole "you gotta be 16" rule is really optional, than why have it? Get rid of it. But as long as the rule stands, don't be cheaters.

You know what! I didn't want to be critical to the Judges, but THEY CHEATED! They gave the Chinese gymnasts REALLY HIGH scores when they SERIOUSLY didn't deserve it! Two of them made HUGE mistakes. And I'm going to say, the US really did fall apart at the end! But there is no need to give people high scores when they don't deserve it! And I'm not saying they gave the scores to the Chinese because they are Chinese, because it's a international judging panel. But most of those judges probably have problems with America

I don't know about them cheating to get more medals, but I watched the gymnastics last night and I believe they definitely were better then all their competition and they deserved the gold.
