  1. Can you believe "Hacker uncovers 'proof' that Chinese gymnast is underage" leads to IOC investigation? How ironic!!

  2. It's been many days now, and I am still waiting to see what they found on the internet. Why is it that the news stories talk about something someone found on the net, but no one can give a link? It doesn't matter if the spreadsheet or whatever is in Chinese, we can still look at it can't we? I waited patiently for a link to the spreadsheet or webpage. Still waiting.

Edit: Thanks to answerer below for the link. I am still looking at the pages there. But a word of caution to others: I clicked on a few things there and I got spyware and virus warnings. So be careful.

  3. I hope they do! It isn't fair to the other athletes that actually EARNED the medals.

This has nothing to do with what country the kids are from. I would say the same thing if it the USA had cheated.

If this ends up being true, I  don't think that He is a victim since she lied about her age, just like her country did.

  4. She better be.

  5. if they take hers they'll have to take the team gold away too, since she helped them win it

  6. I don't know if she will or not but thats what she and her preschool team mates deserve for cheating. (some of them still have their baby teeth!)

  7. I think they will. This issue has been around since before the games started. But they did nothing. Apparently they have found some rather convincing evidence or they wouldn't have been able to re-examine what they considered a 'closed case' only a few days ago. That to me indicates big trouble ahead for China. It would be a travesty if they used and manipulated little girls like this... forcing them to lie after all they have already sacrificed for the sport.... We will have to wait and see though. But it doesn't look good to me.

  8. I think they might take it away after the olympics, but probably not during it. They probably will, since it  is considered cheating - they had to forge all those documents and stuff. She wouldn't have been able to compete if they hadn't pretended she was older.

  9. The article doesn't look like from a mainstream media at all but some ameture blog.

A computer expert?? As far as I know Chinese government is notorious in promoting and deploying e-government procedures and information panels, how did the so-called computer expert probe into Chinese website and obtain the spreadsheet which could never exist?

I would see a press release from the IOC website to believe it.
