Will Claude Patrick get an upset win or will Brian Ebersole reign dominant? – UFC Special
It is supposed to be a slugfest at UFC 140 when the welterweight bout will feature between Claude Patrick and Brian Ebersole. The event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be held on December 10, 2011 in Toronto.
Both mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Patrick and Ebersole, have been in the MMA circuit for a long time. Their in-ring skills and fighting abilities have created a buzz in the MMA and UFC community. They would try to bring in their best form at UFC 140.
The Canadian MMA fighter, Patrick, nicknamed The Prince, is on a winning run. His straight wins would be a motivational factor for the Canadian as he heads into the fight against his American opponent, Ebersole. Patrick made his
winning debut in March 2002 against compatriot MMA fighter Guillaume Desrosiers at UCC 8: Fast and Furious. Patrick won the bout in the first round. He lost his second fight of his career in June 2002 at UCC 10: Battle of the Belts event against American MMA
fighter Drew McFedries.
From April 2005, Patrick has been on a winning run and is unbeaten. He has won thirteen consecutive bouts from April 2005 to April 2011. Entering into the UFC 140 event, Patrick would gain much needed spirit from his wins. He would
also have his home ground support as the bout will be held in his home city of Toronto. He would need all the support he can when he faced a much able opponent, American MMA fighter Brian
American fighter Ebersole, nicknamed Bad Boy, has won forty-eight fights in his MMA career and lost fourteen while one fight was declared as a no contest. Patrick, on the other hand, has won fourteen fights and lost one. He has
won thirteen bouts in a row while Ebersole has won ten consecutive fights from April 2002 to September 2002. He faced a few loses and won fights and then enjoyed a nine fight winning streak from November 2008 to April 2011.
With a winning statistics three times higher than Patrick, Ebersole would definitely have a upper hand against Patrick at UFC 140. Patrick would be eager to continue his winning streak and win his fourteenth straight win. Ebersole
would also be eyeing to extend his winning streak and would focus on winning the bout through a knockout in the first round.
Will Patrick overpower Ebersole and get an upset win or will Ebersole continue his dominance in the UFC octagon ring? Only time will tell because at the moment, both the fighters are ready for the fight that can become one of the
most interesting ones in the UFC welterweight division.
