  2. It will help keep you awake but depending on how long you have been awake and how active you have been it cannot stop you from sleeping. It might keep you from sleeping well but it won't actually stop you.

    It is recommended to not drink a caffeinated drink within 4 hours of going to sleep. So if you do want to sleep then avoid it.

    If you want to stay awake try other stuff too. Coffee only has caffeine and sugar, if added. Energy drinks are better as they have other stimulants, like Taurine, guarana, ginseng and B vitamins. Healthy ones are better because they have less calories, no sugar, less caffeine, and more B vitamins which are essential for energy.

  3. Its depend on individual, some can stay awake for many hours after drink coffee, some just feel fresh and a little stronger after hard work, to me, I can always go to sleep without any difficult after a cup of coffee, if it is your first time having coffee I am quite sure it will stop you from sleeping for few hours.
