try using a small dab of turtle wax, or any kind of clear car wax. wipe from the center out NOT IN CIRCLES!

i tried this once and it takes a while to clean it but i don't think it will help repair it at all it just makes the surface cleaner. and if you try it do it on a blank CD first or an old CD and then try it on a ps2 disk. it also looks like it may ruin it at first but you just gotta keep cleaning it for a while for all the toothpaste to get removed.

But i would really doubt this helps, i read it in a unreputable magazine a few years ago, they encouraged this but it can't really help
