Sound like the crims could sue the government over their lost data. Just another example of crime does pay?

  1. They should have lost all rights to compensation when they decided to commit the crime.

  2. I have a sneaky suspicision that this is prpoganda so we focus on the wrong issue.

  3. this is just another reason, why identity cards should never become a reality in the UK :)

  4. More chance of snow tomorrow in London.

  5. i doubt they could sue, we couldn't sue when they lost all the info of people with children who received child benefit, which also contained bank account numbers, date of births, national insurance numbers and home addresses, i remember we got a letter from the child benefit agency saying 'sorry' and then we got a letter from the bank saying they were watching our bank account for any unusual activity in case whoever has all our details trys to access our account.

It was not nice thinking someone had our whole identity of our family but we couldn't do a thing about it. I doubt they will do a thing about this either, they may send out the usual 'sorry' letter but that's about it.

    They are completely hopeless.

  6. I gonna go and rob a bank me thinks, I'll have the money from the robbery, then when I get caught, I'll plead insanity, so I only get a year or so, then sue the police for anything my lawyer can think of, then hope someone loses my details.

WOW, I'll be set up for life!!!!!

See you all from the prison computers soon!!!  (I bet even there computers better than mine, not forgetting the PS3's

    :-)  :-)

  7. So when they lost all previous data for a variety of other things (there has been so many its hard to keep up) all these people could sue as well? I doubt it very much the government always seem to squirm out of the holes they dig themselves.

  8. An ex of mine sued the prison service because he got punched in prison.  He claimed that they knew he was on drugs, and that he'd ripped off a dealer, so should have been protecting him.

He got a few grand for it!  Crime really does pay!!

Gosh, he really was a catch - why did I ever let him slip away?
