No chance at all. Mayweather as we all know is gonna fight De La Hoya again in September and there is a lot of talk of De La Hoya possibly fighting Cotto, Manny, or for some strange reason Hatton. so if Oscar fights Cotto, that would happen in December and reagrdless of the outcome of that fight, i'm pretty sure Cotto will want a tune-up fight if for some reason Mayweather finally agrees to fight Cotto, so in my sincere opinion, if they do meet up, i would say summer of 2009 would be the earliest, but hey i've seen stranger things happen so who knows.

even if cotto beats margo in july i doubt floyd would wanna fight cotto unless the press starts pressuring him to fight cotto then maybe.....

If Cotto beats Margo, I dont see him fighting Mayweather before next year. Mayweather will be fighting in Sep, and turn around and fight 21/2 month's later, which would have to be in Dec. If the Margo vs Cotto fight come out to be a hard fight, I cant see Margo or Cotto taking a hard fight after that, they would be to banged up. I see this fight happing in 2009. Arum would have to come to a agreement with PBF and it would have to be good. That's another fight in it self. Oscar say's he want to fight Cotto in Dec for his last fight. I dont see Cotto or Bob Arum passing up that money. I think this is the question. Can Cotto come off a hard fight and fight a top guy like Oscar, PBF or Clottey? He might not get pass Margo. If people think Margo is going to be a walk in the park, your crazy. Margo dont have the boxing skills but he's a dangerous fight and can make it a long night.
