I have received an appointment for a position with the Federal Government. My appointment becomes official after the agency processes my "Declaration for Federal Employment." I have fully disclosed a misdemeanor DUI I received 2 1/2 years ago. I have no other legal history. How likely is it that my appointment with be revoked based on the DUI? The position does not require security clearance.

  1. Generally speaking its misdemeanor and will not have barrings on your ability to receive security clearance, and or appointment as long as you satisfy your court order. Always be frank, when addressing the issue on applications and or in person.

you'll most likely have to get a waiver...you'll see a doctor and he'll make the decesion
