Will Defenses lock down on the Patriots this year?

I seriously doubt the Patriots will have another 16-0 season, and I think defenses will give them a battle this year. What do you think?

with that patchwork o line I don't see Brady even lasting the whole season. Defenses know you have to get at him early and often. After that it's up to your offense to win it for you. They have one of the worst and oldest secondaries in the league, so I see them losing about 5 or 6 games.

When you say lock down, I'm assuming hold them to under 28 points a game. Even with NYG's great defensive performance in Super Bowl 42, it's unlkely an offense with Brady, Moss, a great O-line, and good depth at WR (Jabar Gaffney could be a #2 or 3 on many teams in this league) will struggle to put up points. The Giants' Super Bowl defense is hard to find and outside of them, only Philly and Baltimore (2 talented AGGRESSIVE defenses) gave New England legit trouble.

I doubt they go undefeated also, but if they lose more than 3 games with that schedule, I'll be shocked.

What were these defenses doing last year?  Biding their time?  If they didn't have the talent levels to compete with the Patriots last year, how many teams have improved enough to "give them a battle this year...?"

I'm sure many a team have watched the Super Bowl to see what the Giants did to stop the Pats offense. It's pretty simple, put pressure on Brady and he will not throw 50 TD's, he won't even reach 40.

Yep as long as they get pressure on Brady and control the clock anybody can beat them.

well considering brady is injured although i think he comes back this week i dont think they will have another season liek they did. they cheated the first fewgames. and the defenses have improved on most teams and their offense has kinda fallen apart so atleast lets hope they dont haveanother season liek that but idont think they will.

Last year they faced some of the wost pass defenses in the league.

This year they face some of the best but they face horrible run defenses.

I expect the running game to be much more important this year.
