Question:

Will Dirk ever win a championship?

Dirk is probably the hardest working player on his team or even the league. He tries his best every single game, but all that effort has never pays off. Sure this was the same situation Pierce and Kobe were in:they were both the hardest workers on each team, and they couldn't get it done;the next year they both made the finals. The main reason was that they made a main trade:Pau Gasol to Lakers, Ray Allen and KG to Boston.

Of course the Mavericks made the J kidd trade, but do you think they need another big bang? Reports about J ho for Josh Smith have been speculated. Do you think this is it? Dirk will continue to mantain his playing ability for about another 4-5 years. So when will Dirk get his much deserved championship? What do you think the Mavericks need to do? The Celtics and Spurs proved that though you may have veteran players you can still win championships. In the words of Doc Rivers: "Young players can run, but veterans can play D."

  1. If he plays in Europe.

WAY TO REPEAT WHAT I JUST SAID EDGAR

  2. i hope not

  3. My best guess would be no!

  4. 1 to 1,000,000  of him winning a title! He had his chance and choked

  5. make this trade and he'll win

    jason kidd and brandon bass

    for

shane battier, rafer alston, chuck hayes and bobby jackson.

im a celtics fan so i dont really care about these 2 teams, just think that this trade would be really good for both teams. mavs get a good perimiter defender in battier and get rid of kidds expensive deal and let terry have more playing time plus get a back up shooter in alston and they also get a decent vet in jackson. and the rockets get a much needed point guard in kidd, only problem is mavs still need a more dominant center and the rockets arent getting any younger.

  6. No he will not win another championship.

  7. i think so. Dallas can push the last run with J-kidd

they should get like 1 more all-star

  8. You say Dirk is the hardest worker, but that's only when he has the ball in his hands.  He has never been able to play defense and I'm tired of watching him get burned because he can't keep up with anyone.  If you look back, every team that has won a championship in recent years did so by playing hard-nose defense.  Dirk doesn't know what that is.  I'm a Mavs fan, but I'm tired of this team choking in the post-season.  And it starts with Dirk.

  9. I think he has a good chance before J-Kidd retires

  10. I am glad you realized this. I guess I'm not the only one. But it isn't his fault. It think Dirk will finally be on the team he needs to be porbably the next two or three years. It's management. He mess the team up and wasts money. But I get what you are saying, but the Lakers and Boston made a trade that helped the whole team. What do you know they both made t to the finals. Mark Cuban needs to get with the program. He needs to quit wasting money on sorry old players. But get some with experiece. Play defense and get some youth. If they did all this dirk would a ring by now. But I honestly think that won't happen in another 4 or five years.

  11. dirk is a good player no doubt about it.  One of the most versatile 7 footers of all time but that being said...Dirk has nowhere near the work ethic that other guys in the league have as far as im concerned.  Kobe has probably the best work ethic and not to mention, Dirk has failed to come up big at the end of games when it counts.  Dirk needs another really really good number 2 option on his team to take over a game because we all know dirk is not going to.  Not to mention he's a jump shooter.  You live by the shot you die by the shot.

p.s. the boy is soft like cotton

  12. my hubby DIRK NOWITZKI promised me that he will win the championship next season so that our he's legacy as a basketball player will be on a positive note! TRUST ME, they will win this season!

  13. um let me guess.......NO

  14. IF HE PLAYS IN EUROPE.. LOLOLOL!!

    UMM

    WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT DIRK?

HE'S BORING, AND HE MISSED HIS CHANCE IN '06 LOSING TO MY HEAT!

AND IN '07 LOSING TO GS WARRIORS WHEN THEY WRE #1.. LOSERS.

AND THE KIDD TRADE MADE THEM WORSE..

    GOOD LUCK DIRK!

  15. not as the franchise player

  16. Most likely late in his career as in Robinson, Drexler and KG. Never in Dallas with their wacky management. A trade would serve all parties well.
