Will Driftwood change the the color of my sand??? please help asap..

I want to add sand to my aquarium that already has driftwood.

Will the tannins of the wood turn the color of the sand yellow?

The tannins will stain nothing but the water.  Sand will remain the same color, though the tint in the water may make it look a bit yellow.  Bright white, or even slightly blue lights (10,000K) will help to counter this, though.  If you have live plants, though, between 5,500 and 6,700K is still ideal.
