ICL came up with the idea of 20-20 in india but IPL took over and became an instant hit. Will the same happen to IPL when EPL (English version of 20-20 to be funded by millionaire Stanford) comes up?

  1. in india its about the cricket  more than the "sun tan" b'cos in matches in india people go to watch cricket not to get drunk or lay on the grass in a bikini. trust me thats all you see (ladys in bikins and men drunk) but in india you have the fell that gives the players some strength and courage that will make their game top cos that is also a neccity apart from the equipment also you need the desire and love towards your team not players that makes the ipl work so great .

  2. i think i'll go with 'the rock"

  3. think that they will atleast be a lot more proffesional than IPL.

  4. Yes, The teams will be split more along partisan lines rather than being sold to the highest bidders.  People will also go to watch the cricket not to ogle and leer at the cheerleaders or movie stars.

Also you're less likely to get racist abuse at an english cricket ground than in India (Monkey chants at Symonds anyone?)

AND it won't be used by the ECB to try forcing the cricket world to submit to them like the BCCI do.

!$$CRICKET'S$BIGGEST$LEGACY$ what's wrong with drinking and ladies in bikinis?  Just because the IPL don't supply enough drinking water to the stadiums (never mind alcohol)?  As for the bikinis do you not agree with the Cheerleaders at IPL?    At least women in England feel safe to go to a cricket match dressed like that as they know they won't be groped or abused by the men in the crowd which happened to an Indian girlfriend of mine who went to a match in India a few years back.

To Mike l.  Test matches and T20 sell out all the time so the people will go.  we don't need the national team to win to become interested in something.

  5. No the EPL would compete with other sports a lot more than the IPL had to. Cricket's maybe 3rd or 4th in england while in India its the sport. Also the competition between the 2 would split player

  6. no
