Will ESPN ever have more than a 3 min post race show

Seriously. I want to hear from other drivers than just the winner. Especially when your driver i ran well and wouldve had tv time. This is 2 straight races with one interview.

I like Sportscenter but that show runs 5 times a day.Why not give a extra 20 30 min after the race.

  1. It was short today because the race went way over on time.

  2.   Don't look for it.They will spend 2 hours before the race and a whopping 5 minutes after, minues a 2 minute comercial ,yep  minutes.

  3. It was more like a 5 min. post race show.

  4. I agree with you totally.

But apparently they already went over their slotted time and had to move on.  They should atleast had some interviews in Sportscenter, but so far nothing. and it has been 40 minutes since the race ended.

The interviews were even short.  I mean Tony's interview was short and sweet.  I will just watch in tonight on Speed TV.  Nascar Victory Lane. THey usually do alot of interviews.

  5. All I have to say is ....

    Thank GOD for

    SPEEDtv Channel's NASCAR Victory Lane!!!

    GOOOOOOOOOOOO J Gordon!

  6. Because of baseball tonight which has to air before sunday night baseball.

  7. I love the post race show. Sucks that they cut it short like they do. I also would have liked to watch Kurt Busch's crew push his  #2 car   off when he ran out of gas but the camera quickly went to another shot of someone changing tires for Matt Kenseth.

They had been showing the tire changer shots all day of him changing the tire. Yet when someone runs out of gas then they didn't show his team having to push the cars off.

I'm talking about Kurt running out of gas and not Kyle.

  8. ESPN has always been that way right? I remember in the 90's it'd be that way...talk to the winner...cue music...Bob Jenkins would say "well we're outta time....SportsCenter is next. See ya next week." Maybe one day a network will get a clue.

  9. ESPN IS  nothing but junk i mean they cant cover a race if it was only a 5 car race i mean plz espn stick to doing other sports

  10. Dude they were just on the air for 6 freakin hours.  They covered everything but the drivers blood type.  Are you serious?  Nascar's not the only sport people want to see.  Sheesh.

And quite frankly I think they becoming the best network for NASCAR.  They were spot on today again.   If the race had finished in its normal time they would have covered more drivers. Its common sense.  Go turn on SPEED or watch Sportscenter.

  11. I agree the least they could of done is move the live interviews to espnnews or espn classic

  12. Yea i know...they make you go online or see updates on the nascar site later on.

  13. It is very irritating. I agree.

  14. I agree with T-bone. How much postrace do you want? Speed beats it to death for an hour about how bloody exciting it just was with not 1 but THREE post race shows.Speed Report,NASCAR Victory Lane, and Wind Tunnel with Dave Dispain-the best of the 3.

They have contractural obligations to fulfill with sponsors for Sportscenter.

  15. I just think that they don't allow enough coverage time for the races.  If speed was covering the races, they'd be more flexible.

  16. I know. In my opinion, it should be mandatory that all stations carrying the race have to allow a min. of 10 minutes after the checkered flag for post-race driver interviews. And in that 10 min. they should have to have to interview the winner, 2nd place finisher, & at least 2 other drivers who finished in the top 7.

If there is extra time then they can interview anyone they want to. But not before they have interviewed the top 10 finishers.
