He had a pretty solid season last year, but what happened to Carnell Williams? I saw he's on the Bucs roster, but will he be in a backup role this year?

  1. Earnest Graham will definitely start at the beginning of the season.  Carnell Williams has been such a bust since his rookie season and can't seem to stay healthy.  Earnest Graham looks better to hold up all season and looked just as good if not better than Cadi.I don't see Cadi into the mix until halfway through the season.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

  2. Carnell Williams had a brutal knew injury in the second game of the '07 season, but now Carnell "Cadillac" is healing rapidly, alot faster than everyone thought, but he will still not be playing until about thr 5th game or later, so until then Earnest Graham is the starter. They also have Warrick Dunn who will get some carries.

  3. EG will be the starter but he will share the load with Warrick dunn and michael Bennett.

Williams will probably start the season on the PUP list and be activated on week 6 of the season.

  4. The term "starter" is over-rated.

    Who really cares who starts?

Example: What if Dunn "starts", but goes to the sidelines after 1 or 2 plays?  Then Graham comes in for the next 10-12 plays?

Anyway, don't get caught up in the term "starter"... all 4 of TB's backs will share equally.

  5. How has rushing for 1000+ yards in your rookie season spell the words bust? Him being a top contributor dumbfounds me.  Carnell when healthy is a good back.  You cant blame him for a sophmore year woes because he was the only real threat they had on offense really.  Chris Simms yes was breaking out as a QB and galloway was good but who else did they have especially with that subpar Oline.  I would expect him to start once he is healthy enough to play, but for the first few regular season games i would put my money on graham because according to the scouting reports, he is still rehabbing his knee but is very close to have the green light to play

  6. Cadillac was the starter last year until he tore a ligament in his knee. It actually looked really bad when it happened. But if Cadillac Williams is healthy come the beginning of the season I really don't see Earnest Graham starting over him.
