  1. The one thing that Elite XC is doing to help with their promotion is allowing Elite XC fighters fight with other promotions (Dream, Strikeforce, Icon Sport, etc..) and doing co-promotion with Strikeforce, Icon Sport, ROTR.  Even though Kimbo and Gina are the bigger names in Elite XC, theirs a lot of other talented fighters in their roster (Lawler, Diaz, Noons, Alvarez, Shields, Hose, Murilo Rua.)  They have a talented roster but its tough to compete with the roster and the money of the UFC and Affliction.

Cung Le is a great fighter but his not with Elite XC his part of Strikeforce, and they do a lot of co-promotions, like the Shamrock v. Le fight.  Their are plans with Strikeforce and Elite XC to do more co-promotions specifically with Cung Le possibly with Elite XC top Middleweight fighters (Scott Smith, Murilo Rua, or with Elite XC Middleweight champ Robbie Lawler.)  Having co-promotions with Strikeforce and their fighters (Melendez, Misaki, Sobral, Thomson, Buentello)  will make some great matches with Elite XC fighters..

  2. Theres alot of high level fighters. Don't ever forget Cung Le. lol

  3. They don't need Kimbo to carry them when they have some top level fighters in their organization such as Nick Diaz and Jake Shields.  Sure their production needs some fine tuning but as the organizations revenue grows so will the quality of the presentation.

Elite XC will survive if not rival the UFC one day

  4. Depends if they keep fixing Kimbos fight they will fail, In his fight in Newark NJ, it was so obvious it was fixed

  5. Elite XC only has 4 tangible assets.

    Kimbo Slice

    Gina Carano

    Cung Le

    Frank Shamrock

Don't get me wrong, they do have some other good fighters, like Scott Smith, Robbie Lawler, Diaz, etc.

But those are not money makers, or ratings draw.

Considering the recent resignations of Gary Shaw, as well as another top executive, combined with the 40% TV ratings drop and the fact that the arena was only 1/3 full and they couldn't give away the tickets, I think the writing is on the wall.

  6. It will succeed as long as CBS carries their shows.  Their last network show did not do well, so we will see what CBS decides.
