Maybe, but at the moment we seem to be the whipping boys.

The world cup will be a non starter this time round because we don't have enough big named players, playing well enough.Also there isn't much young talent coming through quickly enough to compete at the highest level.

Of course England will win another trophy sometime, be it six nations or world cup, although definitely not for a while and another world cup will take a very long time.

Th key is to start rebuilding the team right after this World Cup. They have to start bringing in fresh blood, no more of this bringing back old players to play. A good youth system should be put in place for age groups "under 16" and up, better than the one they have now.

Another aspect that they have to work on is changing their type of backs. The big,bruising back line that they have in place is crazy, they just get torn to shreds by a quality back line (e.g like Ireland did in Croke Park in this years six nations) They need to put quicker, more agile backs in now and let them start playing together so they are a well established unit (once again like the Irish backline)
