Question:

Will Evelyn Bennett feel anger towards her adopters when she hears her mother's story?

Stephanie Bennett lost her case due to the ineptitude of the attorney who was representing her early in her case (he committed suicide on Evelyn's second birthday) and her family's lack of resources. Do you think that her baby, now 2 years old, will be furious at the people who have her when she hears her mother's story?

  1. Oh heck yes she will be angry.  I know that I am.  That is what happened to me.  I hope by then there will be open records for all in Ohio. What is really bad is the agency bought itself out of its problems.  Just like so many of them do when they get into hot water with the state.  I wish I was rich because I would get her the best attorney money could buy.

  2. Definitely.  They have no right holding her child hostage.

What the h**l are they thinking. A better life in captivity.

  3. That poor mother!

She deserves to be with her mummy and grandmother! Ok, i don't agree on a 13 year old with a baby, but she was planning to complete school and had all the support of her mother

Anyways come across this: A petition to bring her back. Not sure how much good it will do, but worth a shot right?

  4. I'm not going to pass judgment because I wasn't there. Maybe she wasn't given enough information and she went into it without thinking. But you don't know that the counselor was badgering her or nagging her until she broke down and gave her baby away. I don't know what happened, honestly. It's impossible to know how Evelyn will feel. I don't know why she'd be furious at her adoptive parents, they were not the ones that talked to stephanie when she decided to sign the papers.

  5. I think this poor child will need alot of therapy to get over this. It just makes me sick what they are doing to this baby and her Mother.

Has she actually been adopted? Last I saw, she was still stuck in legal limbo because the Adoption agency was still fighting her mother.

I also think the School counselor should have lost his job over this.

I have been trying to find current information on this case. Do you have a link?

  6. How could they not be!?

Evelyn's story makes me sick. So does Holly and Tyler's. I can not imagine how someone can look a child in the eyes knowing that they have purposly kept them from people who love them. IMO, it is neglect and abuse and I hurt for the children who will have to suffer tremendous betrayal and pain as they learn the truths behind their adoptions. How could you say you love a child and then set them up for such deep and scarring trauma? To sacrifice the psyche of a child in order to live a falsely and immorally achieved personal dream is certainly not the trait of a good and loving parent. IMO, this is greed in its worst possible incarnation.

  7. Oh yes - she will be furious - and she'll most likely never speak to them again.

    And it serves them right.

Children are not possessions to be played with.

This child was taken under unethical practices.

    It's a disgrace.

  8. The sad thing is that she will probably have a lot of mixed, confusing feelings about it all.  She will possibly experience undue guilt about having the varying feelings she is likely to have over this.

What happened is very wrong.  A mother lost her firstborn and an entire family lost its newest member because of the coercion in this situation.  Evelyn was treated like a possession rather than a human being.
