Will Floyd Mayweather Whip Antonio Margarito later this year? I think Floyd will come out of retirement and whip Antonio Margarito. Margo throws wide looping punches so slow Stevie Wonder could see them coming a mile away. He may have a solid chin and keep coming But I think Floyd will pick him apart, give him a boxing lesson for the ages and pile up points winning by Late round TKO. Oscar De La Hoya is a lots faster than Margo and thur 12 rounds he couldn't land a clean punch thru Floyds A+ defense. And For all you Margo fans...the only reason Mayweather turned down 8 Million in 2006 was to make $20 Million in 2007 whipping De La Hoya. His hand was still healing from beating Carlos Baldomir in 2006. Remember Diego (Chico) Corrales was a lot bigger & taller than Floyd, hits hard but Floyd gave him a boxing lesson & won by TKO. Speed, Defense, Skill & Intelligence. The Total PKG. Cotto lacked ring intelligence. Something FLoyd has. He's a class above the rest. UR Opinion

the reason that stevie wonder, im mean pbf quit is his afraid that he wont retain his 0 loss stat when he goes up against margo or coto, he wants to be the modern day marciano, only deference is marciano retired undifited coz no ones want to chalenge him anymore while pbf still has some waiting on line to take on him but his ducking them right now as far as i know.. the only thing pbf is good at is running away then throw couple of punches when his opponents becomes too aggresive. you only see pbf put up some good combos if his sure he can take on the punches.. aside from that he just keeps running, really surprise me that his been a p4p no 1 before

I hope the fight happens. So again i can see the reactions of these people. The same people who said Oscar will beat him. The same people who said Hatton will tear his body apart. ANd yes Money May has the best defense in the game. Why? You guys see the way he trains. He is a religious person when it comes to training. He wakes up at 3 in the morning to train. Giving the advantage in the later rounds. The reason why Cotto lost is because of his stamina. In the first 5 rounds Cotto was in and out. In and out. Moving around. Then he got tired. But again Mayweather is just too fast for Big Margo. Check hook baby!!!

A-Dap you hit it right on the button. Something you forgot in that great piece. Carlos Baldomir had the top belt and Margo didn't. Cotto don't have the smarts like PBF. First, Cotto defense is not that good. It's been proving, you can out box Margo. Why are people so surprise that Cotto out boxed him? Cotto was sliding on the ropes the whole time, and never thought about bringing the fight to the center of the ring. Let me see. Cotto don't think like that. When at a distance, Cotto won that fight with his jab. Cotto was moving to much, when he didn't have to and over working himself. Cotto couldn't adjust and just took a beating. Cotto got winded in the Mosley fight. PBF wouldn't go in there to knock Margo out because boxer don't think like that. PBF wouldn't care if his punches didn't hurt Margo but winning rounds. Hagler said Ray didn't hurt him but it still racked up points. PBF wouldn't wait to he's hurt and start to hold. PBF would slip off the ropes, use his jab to keep him on the outside, move around ring and hold if he got trapped. He would hit Margo with shoulder rolls and hold him again. He would slip punches, hit and  get out of there. Using one shot at a time with accuracy. If he let Cotto out box him, what do you think PBF would do? These are all what if and don't mean anything until they fight.

Antonio Margarito will slow Floyd down with bodyshots and stop Floyd by round 11th or 12th. Diego Corrales was a head hunter and Floyd was too fast for him. Antonio will go to the body more and I don't care how fast Floyd is, he can not avoid body shots all together. A superior chin and relentless pressure plus alot of bodyshots will win over skill and speed. For example, Glenn Johnson win over Roy Jones Jr.

Mayweather wont come out of retirement because he's to scared to fight Margarito... MayFeather will NOT be able to knock out Margarito (if you saw the Margo Cotto fight then you'll know why) Cotto kept landing bombs on Margarito, and Tony just walked through them like they were pillows... De La Hoya might be faster than Margarito but DLH is not a pressure fighter like Margo... Mayweather might have a A+ defensive but trust me he wont be able to block all the 100+ punches thrown by Margo each round.. Margarito wins by late round stoppage no doubt about it

most of yall must dont know boxing with these comments. first of all dont compare what margarito did to cotto and say what hed do to floyd(2 very different styles) yes cotto has skills but none are better then floyds(defense,hand speed,and just knowing how to use the ring)except maybe his power. so you say he(margarito) will just press floyd. funny thing about that is you get fustrated when you cant get your target but hes taging you.floyd doesnt waste energy on any punches so stamina wont be a problem.h**l keep his hands lower and force margarito to go to the head which he will easily counter.i could go on and on but i hate typing.anyway you guys say floyd ducked margarito when offered 8mil

It also fails to note that Mayweather had paid Arum a $750,000 buyout to break their exclusive contract and did not want to fight for his former promoter again, and that Arum's bigger interest in the Mayweather-Margarito proposal was to secure an opponent worthy of a $2 million payday for Margarito, who was growing impatient with the promoter for not delivering major events.

No. Floyd will not whip anyone. He will run around the rignt and use his arm to guard his face the whole time. Just like he did against Oscar. It would be a horrible fight to watch. I want to see a fight, not a boxing match. I want blood, knockouts, etc..

Its not well known, and you probably wont find it using a search engine but the Rock retired because he was getting hit more and his training camp was getting laze, he was packing on 20 pounds of fat between fights and he did not want to fight Floyd Patterson. If Marciano hadn't of retired when he did the new age fleet footed boxers coming up would have delt him a loss.

Marciano knew when to hang them up. Very few fighters have done that.

I say though if he had known that Floyd could not take a punch he probably would have taken the fight.

It's true that PBF has a great defense, but Chico didnt throw c**p at PBF thru the fight.  A. Margarito will hit what ever on the body, wether it's arms, wrist, elbows, etc.. they will begin to hurt as the fight prolongs.  That's what happen to Cotto, the punches started to hurt his arms, so thats why he didnt want to block any more.

Margarito will DESTROY PBF.
