Nico Hulkenberg, the former Williams’ driver is still not sure what he will be doing in 2011. His manager, Willi Weber although pleased with his talks with Force India, has admitted that as yet nothing is confirmed.
Weber confirmed that talks have been initiated with the Silverstone based, Indian team and he is hoping to come to some positive conclusion. Force India drove the 2010 season with its drivers, Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi.
After showing some brilliant performances, Sutil ended the season in 11th place while Liuzzi wrapped up in 13th in the Drivers’ Championship. As expected Liuzzi’s place in the team seems uncertain, while Sutil is also shopping around
for greener pastures. Of course purely speculative at the moment, it is thought that Force India maybe eyeing Hulkenberg for next season.
The 23-year-old was about to end an average debut season with Formula One when only in the second last race of the season, the Brazilian Grand Prix things turned  around for him. He was able to bag the first pole of his career
and started the race leading the rally. Although the performance was immensely commended by the team as well as the analysts, yet this did not help him secure his seat with Williams.
After finishing his rookie season in 14th place with 22 points, his manager is trying hard to get a place for him as a leading driver for some team.
However, the winner of the GP2 series in his debut season, an honour shared only other by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg before him, is still uncertain if he would be able to get a place this season or would have to stay off the
track. Initially there were reports that he would be making a move to Renault in place of Vitaly Petrov, however after the latter’s spectacular performance in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, that changed the shape of this season’s Championship, the Russians seat
is secure.
The driver’s manager told the press earlier today, "There are still options, but not too many."
When asked about the report of his discussions with Force India, he admitted saying, "There are currently some talks."
He further dismissed all the stories suggesting he has bought a cockpit for the driver in some of the other series. He explained saying that currently he does not have enough sponsorship for Hulkenberg. Weber concluded saying,
"If you bring money to an F1 team, then that's what you do for the rest of your life."
