Will Full Tilt Poker give me viruses/spyware on my computer?

I (well my boyfriend) wants to download Full Tilt Poker on my Mac Powerbook, but it is also the computer i use for ALL of my college and work stuff. I don't really download anything onto this computer for this very reason - fear of viruses. Aside from playing on pogo.com, i don't have any games on here.

Has anyone gotten a virus from Full Tilt? Does downloading this program slow your computer down?

  1. no i have the site its fine. no your computer can have a few sites your fine.

  2. Full Tilt is about the second largest poker site in the world with well over 50,000 people playing online at the same time most evenings.

What possible reason would they have for giving you a virus or other malware?  They want you to have a flawless experience with their software in the hope that one day you will buy in for real money and then they can make money from you.

I've used their software for years, and I have never had a single problem with it.  I know plenty of others who do too.  I wouldn't worry about it.  But this software aside, you should always keep a backup of your work.

  3. Full Tilt is one of the most reputable poker sites on the web today.  I've got it on my PC and my lapper.  Full Tilt is also Mac Compatible, and if you're using Mac, you're less prone to viruses, spyware, malware, etc, in the first place.  Also, make sure he uses the code "DAGTILT" so that he get's the best possible sign up bonus.
