  1. he does have a point though don't you think ?. i know that we throw away food every week that has gone past it's use by date. planning your meals in theory is ok in practice it is a tad harder. x

  2. Sometimes I wonder if the guy has a list of things to say that will p155 people off most. He REALLY is an ******.

Every time he opens his condescending, holier than thou gob he shoots himself in the proverbial foot.

    xxFJ

  3. Did Gordon Brown mention that he's selling Tupperware? Winston Churchill, where are you now that we need you?

  4. Be issuing ration books next

  5. He's a total w@nker.  His latest mutterings are so completely cr@p I can't be bothered to say more.  Judging by the size of him and his waddle-as-she-walks-wife, they don't throw any food away, they scoff the bloody lot!!!!

Food prices are high due to failing crops (Australia) higher fuel costs (everywhere) and crops being used to make 'green' fuel - bUggar all to do with what you or I throw away.

  6. nope, he also said ppl should not waste food, even though its true and we shouldnt, he should not tell us what to do.

VOTE liberal democrats, they are the way forward, you've tried the rest now try the best

  7. It's a very rich statement from a Government that wastes so much itself. They cannot tell us that throwing food away that's gone off is wasteful when their millenium dome was virtually given away, when their sports stadia for the 2012 Olympics is so over budget and they are throwing so much more of our money into the NHS yet closing hospitals. The farmers are allowed to grow biofuels instead of food crops - that is so wrong and that is the cause of the food shortages, they should not blame us, they (the govt) are in charge, they are the big white chiefs, no us!

  8. The bloke is clutching at straws.

We waste very little food, in fact my Wife is certainly praiseworthy.

For Brown to preach wastage of food in order to help us over the rising cost of living, while his own MP's are living the hog at our expense (and he is condoning the crimes by omission).

He is a waste of space, and this is just more proof.

  9. Hi saucy,

This is a sentence taken out of context and blown up by the media.

Nevertheless,  I agree with Fonejack above. He's shot himmself in the foot again.

Most of the UK food 'waste' comes from schools, restaurents, canteens etc and goes straight to pigswill - it is not wasted.

Domestic waste is very little and will not make any kind of  indentation to the world food prices - all it might do is make our pockets look a very tiny  bigger to cover up the other disasters this man has caused to our incomes.

  10. I agree with him. Good old Gordon Brown.  He's a helluva lot better than Cameron.

  11. wasn't it this fat b**tard who was using our tax money for his shopping, or was it john presscot????

  12. Like h**l! I was listening to the 6 o'clock news and heard him saying that food waste "must stop"! What TF has it got to do with him? Are the government going to start monitoring our shopping or perform "dawn raids" on our fridges?! I'm totally sick to the back teeth with this Labour government - and I never thought I'd ever say something like that.
