Will Greenhouse Gas cuts be possible by 2050 as per endorsement of G8 ministers?

A Yahoo News, "G8 ministers endorse greenhouse gas cuts by 2050."

According to the news item, Environmental ministers from the world's top industrial countries said they have the political will to move toward cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2050.

Please answer keeping the following context in mind:

- Will any one of them would survive their age by 2050 to be questioned on the assurance after 42 years, if the assurance is not fulfilled?

- Have they identified the nature of industries that is causing emission of greenhouse gases and whether they are going to shut them those units?

- Would they be ready to discard growth of industries which is the major cause of emission of greenhouse gases?

- Have they made any realistic action plan to take to help cut down the greenhouse gases?

- Would they be ready to discard airconditioners & refrigeration services for themselves to endorse their will than to prove a false political assurance, as usual?

Will Greenhouse Gas cuts be possible by 2050? I think it should be or else worst things will sure happen by the effects of these CO2 rates. Whether G8 ministers will still be alive or not it doesn't matter, what matters most is the fact that they're trying to do something for the brighter future. G8 ministers meeting/convention are not the only one to do acts for the environment. Many scientists and environmentalist have prove the effects of high amount of CO2 in our atmosphere. And as ibdividuals we should also do our part whether or not politicians will take action(hopefully).

Yell right the whole world is going to make it the first thing to do today in saving our planet when those same countries can not even feed their own people or protect them from the ravages of nature

Well i would say those guys will die before they fullfill their agreements. Cutting down efficiancy of those factories and driving up manufacturing prices won't make some people happy. They wouldn't be discarding the major industries because they make too much money from taxes. Im a skeptic but i care about the environment
