As part of their historical range, will the grizzly ever be returned to live in New Mexico?

  2. very doubtful because there are too many humans for the grizzez . bad encounters will end up with humans killing them off again

It'll be interesting to see won't it?  Watching the movement of entire populations of species to new habitat is an opportunity no one has ever had before.  On a Global Scale its both breathtaking and disquieting.  Here in Missouri we have bears pouring in from the South to cooler habitat . They were once native to Missouri, but have been rare or absent for a long time.  We also have cougars moving down from the North.  It isn't as obvious why, but I expect they're following prey.  Did you read that gray wolves are suddenly turning up in New England states?  They haven't been found there in a REALLY long time.  Have you noticed any changes in the Armadillos?  They are moving into southern Missouri and Oklahoma, but it isn't clear whether they are migrating themselves, or hitchhiking on big trucking rigs.
