Kind of hard to pay attention and get excited about a convention if it turns into a national disaster.

  1. I hope the hurricane loses strength over water before it reaches land, though it doesn't seem likely at this moment unfortunately.  God bless the people who are or have been hit by this storm. It looks like they are better prepared this time and I hope people will evacuate to safety as they have been told to do.

  2. Liberals are praying for it; but it wont happen.

“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.” Moore on Olberman.

  3. With these candidates it is already a national disaster.

  4. Karma, baby, Karma

  5. It will open viewers eyes why an inexperienced candidate like Sarah Palin is wrong for America.

Who the h**l is Sarah Palin??  We don't need any unknowns sending our economy in deeper disparity.

  6. The Convention is still scheduled, although obviously several Governor's and Speakers will not be attending due to the storm:

President Bush is also considering not going and this article also states that Senator McCain may give his acceptance speech via Satelite:

I think if anything people will be reminded of the fiasco that took place from Katrina but the Mayor of New Orleans has ordered mandatory evacuation which has already started and Governor of Louisiana declared a state or emergency in advance and has ordered in the States National Guard. The State seems to have a working plan in affect for evacuations for citizens and pets, and hopes that everyone will heed it.

The Convention may change it's program due to this, perhaps try to raise money for the States affected etc, but so far the convention has  not been canceled.

  7. I think everyone feels that way and there was even talk about postponing the convention.I hope those people don't have to go through this again but i think they are much better organised then the last time. This Governor  of louisiana is one smart guy.

  8. I think this is God's way of saying no way, no how, no McCain.

  9. I think it will. people are more concerned about their natural disasters and people's lives being destroyed by this hurricane, then some RNC. and i think the media would be would be stupid if they focused on the RNC instead of a natural disaster.

  10. Michael Moore was cracking jokes about it with Keith Olbermann, neither one aware of what asses they were being.  I guess Michael Moron AND Keith Olddumbman DONT CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!!!
