  1. They have a few HD-DVD movies coming out soon... They were in production when Toshiba made the announcement.

After that nothing new for HD-DVD will be coming out.

  2. no way......they just stopped everything......no more dvd's ...means...no more devices...so.......no more trashy..HD-DVD...lol....

  3. No new HD-DVD disc will be made unless in a contract. Studios under contract will either be paid off for their loses or they will release the required obligations then end production there after. No one wants to be sued for a breach of contract.

Sorry lee b. Upscaling video does not beat true 1080p.  Someone had done the test and took photos. A standard DVD upscaled to 1080p vs Blu-Ray 1080p of the same movie title. The Blu-ray version had more detail and clarity. I've seen those projectors at Best buy. They don't even come close to the LCD and Plasmas.

  4. No. Toshiba abandoned or discontinued their manufacturing of HD DVD players.

  5. im in the same boat it sucks

dont throw it out as i feel that blu will go the same way

i have an lcd and a 120inch hd projector and to be honest hd is not what everyone makes it out to be.

people will rubbish me for this but you can not beat upscaling

its nearly as good for no extra cost and that is why blu will fail too
