I think it would be ridiculous. I hope it never happens.

  1. I hope it doesn't happen! Holyfield is risking his health by continuing to fight. Tyson lost his motivation to fight years ago. At this point he's becoming a circus sideshow. I won't pay to see it. If it happens Holyfield will win. Tyson is way to inactive to compete.

If they fight, what does it prove? Both are way past their primes. It can only serve to pad their wallet, if people pay to see it.

  2. I seriously don't think there's a need for this fight. Holyfield is already two up over Tyson and both men are well past their prime. The fight wouldn't be any where near interesting now, then it would if it had happened perhaps six or seven years ago. If the fight should unfortunately be given the go ahead, then I will ONLY watch it, if it's on regular HBO or Showtime. I'll be damned if I pay for it on PPV or by going to a bar to see it for six dollars, plus the cost of gas to get to the bar.

  3. i read this morning that both parties are in negotiations. this was raised in this forum a few weeks ago.....i agree with you, i hope it never happens.

evander doesnt' need this, as i keep saying he has nothing left to prove, and i would really hate to see him get hurt.

  4. NO! It should never happen! Both fighters have nothing to prove no more..... RETIRE Holyfield and stay retired Tyson!

  5. i'd watch it, but holyfield would win again

  6. why not...he still has one ear left...besides at their age..one of them is bound to have a heart attack in the ring...

  7. No, it's just makes a mockery of the sport by being a circus. I'm wandering if Holyfield wears a football helmet or do they haul Tyson to the ring in a cage, with his mouth muzzled.

  8. I hope not, enough is enough.

  9. Rediculous is being very polite.  HBO boxing after dark maybe?  Maybe a pay per view double with Holmes vs. Frazier!  This has all the apeal of a pile-up on the highway, you can't help but to look!

  10. I would watch it but only if it is on basic cable or basic TV. No network is going to shell out money for that fight. It probaly will happen because both of their careers are over, but they are still marque names in the heavyweight division. granted they would not be fighting for any recognition, but it would eb an interesting fight. Tyson should fight a tune up match first though, and show that he wants to avenge a loss(something he has never been able to do) and try to see if he could negotiate the fight to happen in new york or new jersey where he can get a license with little problems. Don King should promote it since he did a good job with tito and roy

  11. I wouldn't want to see it happen for the following...

    Tyson doesn't deserve a rematch

Holyfield is in need of retirement

Tyson is in need of mental help and hospitalization possibly for the remainder of his life
