There is hope for Haiti, with God there is always hope. I was in Haiti in January with a mission team. There has been progress, I believe there will continue to be. The good Lord can do miracles. We must believe that Haiti can rise up and be a beautiful place again, and it starts with you and me. We have to pray for them and we have to help them all we can. I currently sponsor to children from there. If you would like to do so send me an email. Haiti can make a come back, we just have to believe.

To my personal opignon this will take 300 years to restore this country to " La Perle des Antilles".

Sad to say, it's highly unlikely. Haiti was the most valuable colony in the world when sugar was in great demand in Europe 300 years ago. Since it became independent power struggles between the two class societies that rule the nation as well as corruption have made the country very dysfunctional. Unless a strongman takes over the country and rules it with an iron fist, then the country will remain extremely poor.
