Will Home Depot Stay With The #20? ?

I heard in his first ever start at Richmond, Logano's car will be sponsored by Gatorade. Will Gatorade sponsor him when he's a full-time driver next year or will Home Depot stay with the 20 car? Or will GameStop venture into Cup with him also?

  1. as far as anybody has said so far, home depot has a contract with joe gibbs and the 20 through next year. home depot has had a contract with nascar as the official home improvement store that is running out, and i've heard they won't be back on that front. zippy had a provision in his contract that he could get out of it if tony wasn't going to be there, but he decided not to exercise that option as he didn't want to start with a whole new team in a "building" mode. nothing has been said whatsoever about home depot having a similar provision. i think game stop will probably stay where they are on the #20 when he drives it in the nationwide series - i assume he will continue to do so to gain valuable seat time.

  2. I heard that Home Depot will not be sponsoring any car next year. Tony Stewart's new car is Office Depot.

  3. No Home Depot will leave Joe Gibbs and will reunite with Stewart in a few years.

  4. The home depot sponorship will stay with Logano and the number 20 next year. Gibbs said it would stay with the 20 at the press conference when Stewart made his announcement. So far I haven't heard any changes about it.

  5. yes it was announced home depot will sponsor the 20 in 2009

  6. Yes they have a contract with Gibbs racing

  7. home depot is staying with the 20 team next year

  8. There were talks that Home Depot was either going to lessen their presence in or leave entirely NASCAR. It seems though that they would stay around for whoever the new #20 driver's 1st season. Its all but confirmed that Joey Logano will be the new #20 team driver. ('bout 4 hrs : 15 mins to go till JGR's announcement).

As far as his Richmond ride, I've heard that it would be a #02 sponsored by Home Depot, but these things change on a day-to-day basis sometimes. I am sure details about Joey's 2008 Cup debut would be made apparent today as well.
