It would be pretty cool. Or how about just a third eye that can see infrared like some snakes and lizards.

    Evolution can't just suddenly stick on brand new parts. It's constrained by the basic body design and architecture of the existing critter.

Eventually, when humans finally wake up and take responsibility for the nature and evolution of their body.  One day, such possibilities as extra eyes (back of head, most likely), and extended sensory will happen. But it will not be some function of the natural evolutionary processes. It will, instead, be the result of genetic engineering along with technology that falls out of research into the human computer interface.  Extra arms and legs and the like will happen but it will be an addition to our existing biology---an exoskeleton type of thing. The military happens to be developing this kind of technology right now.
