No, the convention will go as planned. Although, there may be a few missing people at times, like Republicans from Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. But, Fema, along with the National Guard will be in the area as the storm goes through, and take the responsibility to start going through the damage. The Governor of all three States can call and request the area to be declared as a disaster area. Trust me, no one who is in the main political eye is going to want to stay in Louisiana when this storm hits.  New Orleans as you well remember is not the Capital of the State,  Although, this storm will probably cause a great deal of damage in Baton Rouge....  Set back, and enjoy watching the Convention on TV..

One wonders if Li'l Bush ever got any actual thinking people into FEMA!  The christian losers he put in there before screwed everything up entirely.  

It would be fun to watch the republicans have to actually deal with a hurricane - or anything real.

No, the Republican National Convention will go on as planned. The hurricane will not effect the Convention. There will be some that won't be able to attend though. Governor Jindal said today that he will not go as long as their is a threat to Louisiana. I'm sure there are others that won't attend for the same reason.

I checked the website that someone posted saying it may be rescheduled but found it was a liberal website. I checked the official RNC site and saw nothing that suggests they are rescheduling as of now. Check for yourself: http://www.rnc.org/

Well, they should cancel, it would look really bad for them to be partying while a hurricane is ripping a city shreds. It would also showcase how much they care about the American people-zip.
