short term yes.  Even if no damage is done to facilities, the speculative buying/selling that is a normal part of the stock market will undoubtedly cause prices to rise

Yes it will. All of the off shore oil rigs of the coast of Louisiana have been shut down and evacuated so that means that 40% of the total domestic oil production will be ceased for at least a few days. You better fill up your tank right now while you can.
