Will Hurricane Hanna Hew York City HARD?

Because my Earth Science teacher says it will come ashore as a category 1 storm!

it will come ashore along the nc or sc coast as a category one, but nyc should be okay. on saturday you will be feeling the effects of a tropical storm with winds as strong as 45-55 mph. there is a small chance a hurricane would hit nyc, especially if it hits the nc coast as a category two becuase your waters are warm enough to at least maintain a hurricanes strength for a little while becuase water temps in you area are around 76 degrees or so. you will probably get rain, but i dont think you will get hit hard in any way, but their may be a few power outages in the mid atlantic states and nyc is part of the mid atlantic area.
