Question:

Will Hurricane Hannah Hit North Carolina?

They say its projected to hit Northern Florida, but will its remnants hit NC? I'm flying out of Fayetteville, NC-Atlanta, Ga then from Atlanta-Sacramento, Ca on sunday will all these hurricanes (gustav included) affect my flight?

Remnants of Tropical Storm Fay hit here yesterday and it was awful. I'm scared to be in a hurricane because I'm not used to extreme weather since I grew up in California.

Help!

  1. I hope not. This is getting to be a very busy season. Go to interactive weather.com they have a great radar.

  2. I certainly hope not my husband is in north carolina! oh, and for your sake too.  I will look up what i can and find out what i can, if i find anything interesting i will let you know.  If i dont get back with you then I didn't find anything.

  3. It does not look like Hanna will be anywhere near the coastline Sunday, so your flights will not be affected by that storm.  Gustav will be somewhere in the Gulf well offshore Sunday and I would not think it would affect Sunday flights either.  The early part of next wk is when problems will likely arise.

  4. Its too early to say with any certainty. The wind and pressure patterns make all the difference. The projected path shows that Hanna is moving towards Northern Florida, but that is subject to change.

Please keep yourself updated on Hanna at the following link:

  5. theres a very little chace that it will hit nc but you flight will have to trubles

  6. You should be ok on Sunday, but I would keep an eye on the storms.  North Carolina is a definite possibility for Hannah, but there's no way to know for certain until it gets closer.

You can see the projected path of Hannah, and find links to local TV and newspaper coverage, plus find links to the National Hurricane Center coverage of the storm on http://www.USAMediaGuide.com.

You can also check local North Carolina news sources for coverage with the links on http://www.NorthCarolinaMediaGuide.com

  7. I do feel bad for you but worse for me and my peoples, we live in a small area near Baton Rouge, Im terrified, i don't  wanna evacuate! I dont wanna leave my town!:(, But this is category 4 and i might have to! Im scared and confused, and for you younger peeps who wanna get outta school, its not worth the pain!
