Will I Get The Apartment?

I'm Planning on moving into my own apartment in early 2009 hopefully. In the past i had some trouble with my credit, but for the past 3 years i have never missed a payment on anything. I have a couple of late payments on my report from 2004 and i have a collections account that i recently paid off that was put on almost 4 or 5 years ago. my scores are in mid to high 600's my question is Do you think the late payments from years back, and the charge off that i just paid off.. Will it stop me from getting the apartment?

If you haven't had any credit troubles for the last three years, and you haven't been evicted previously or owe money to another complex you should be fine.  

I once had a friend with a credit score in the low 300's who was able to get a decent apartment.
