Question:

Will I Still Have to Go to Jury Duty If I move?

I'm summoned to go to jury duty in September, but I am scheduled to move to a different county next week. Since jury duty is governed by the county I live in, am I still liable to appear at jury duty for my current area after the move?

  1. Just make sure your drivers license reflects the move and you can get out of it.

  2. Just call the number on your summons and they will let you out of it.

  3. Just call them and tell them that.

  4. Now I have heard many wxcuses for moving to another land.  This one is one of the best.  Good luck in your new place.

Be sure you tell them that you are going and where.

  5. No. But you MUST notify them.

  6. On your summons there is either a number to call or address listed. If you have not sent in your reply/answers to the questions on the  summons include that you are moving then mail it. Don't worry about it, if you just let the court clerk know you are moving  you are fine.

  7. no. just notify them you have moved out of the county.
