I think I am going to get a 2 on my Spanish AP Test. However, I did receive a flat A as a final grade in the actual class. This is my only AP so far but my school only offers about 6. I am taking two more next year as well. I am so nervous that I won't be able to get into these places because of this test score. If I do fail, should I even send in the score

  1. no

  2. In my school you can get above a 4.0 GPA if you take AP classes and get As.....

however you have to get a 3 on the AP test in order to pass and get credit for the class

if you fail, it hurts you but not really bad, but its like you never took the class

  3. Your AP scores have nothing to do with admission to colleges.  Colleges are only concerned with your AP scores if you wish to be granted college credit.  The only things colleges look at (in this instance), is the fact that you took an AP class and your grades in that class.

    Best of luck!

  4. No, you won't.  Do well on the other APs.

  5. I doubt your AP Spanish test score will determine your admission at either school. However, seeing as it's your only AP, it would have been nice to get a good score to show them.  Also, a 2 and an A in the class might seem like a weird inconsistency.  However, if you take two more APs next year and maintain good grades in both courses, I think neither NYU or BC will care.  Also, the AP language tests are some of the most grueling and challenging.  Especially when people with multilingual backgrounds take the test and shift the curve on the test (Similar to SAT II's, the subject tests).

  6. No, I have taken AP classes already... and I am takinf 4 next year and i am also thinking about going to NYU and they look at the fact you have taken the course and you attempted as long as you pass the class and stuff you should be pretty good, just keep your grades up and things like that...
