  1. Hypothyroid, having a low thyroid condition, can prevent you from ovulating, so if you haven't ovulated synthroid can help.

Provera is a medication to make you bleed. It has no effect on ovulation or your fertility.

  2. Try not to worry, it may take you a little while... I have the same condition having under active thyroid can cause your cycle to be irregular and u may not ovulate at all.(thats why doc gave u provera)   ..I also hav cyst on my ovaries (very common with under active thyroid) this isn't Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome ..just cyst on ovaries.. I started on Provera and then Clomid to keep me ovulating regularly...I would recommend and Endo to keep an eye on ur thyroid esp if you are trying to conceive  they look at so many levels of TSH (this is test on ur thyroid to measure thyroid function)  and they know about all the hormones levels...that's what they specialize in....I go and get bloodwork every 3 months and right now due to Clomid we are checking my progesterone once a month...Just pray u have good veins because having hypothyroidism and trying to get prego you have to get a lot of blood work to make sure all is well...   Make sure u take ur synthroid (not generic) everyday this actually will help you conceive  keeping your hormone function on track     I am not prego yet but last month my progesterone was great...so I am hoping for this month...It has taken me a while to get all my levels in order, but I feel better than I ever hav and want to think we are getting closer....   Try not to worry    Just take your meds when u are supposed to and get ur bloodwork done when ur doc orders it.....  Good luck to u and lots of baby dust  have fun....

  3. I have PCOS and under-active thyroid and I am on Synthroid as well and I am 28 wks pregnant so it is possible.
