    even if you are close you will enter basic with everyone else (in your nearest rec. dep pool)

    to start your basic!

    Transportation will be provided. They are picky about this too!

  5. NO!  You don't get to drive yourself to basic!

  6. Probably not, as you would need to go through MEPS enroute. It also depends on the service. The Marines wouldn't let you near your car, or even the keys, they would certainly not let you drive.
