I am considering pursuing an associated degree in human Service because I love helping people. My concern is that I do not know if I will be able to get a job with this degree. I am currently in college and I have already taken three psychology classes which I pass with excellent grades I also took sociology and biology classes but I just do not know if somebody with an associated degree in human service will be able to get a job. Please answer my questions as I am very confuse and disoriented regarding this field. If somebody has this major please tell me what kind of job did you get and where are you located?

Thanks

  1. I am a senior right now with criminal justice and pre-law going for bachelor's in both and then either law school or my master's in CRM J. These days employers are looking for dedicated people who went to college for 4 years, not 2 or the typical 1 1/2 (ITT tech, and those institutes). If I were you spend the extra two years and go for the bachelor's. But with Human Service you may be able to start off with an intership or volunteer work and make your way up. What is human service exactly? Like welfare work?
