Will I be able to get a visa on arrival to Dubai if I travel via road from Muscat.?

I have a residence card (my wife is on a dependant visa with her residence card as well) with a profession of General Systems Analyst and am in Muscat for the past 2 months.Want to know if there is any restriction for a visa on arrival to dubai based on my profession or duration of stay in Muscat (less than 6 months) . Can somebody help me with more details on visa requirements to enter dubai on an arrival visa ?

For GCC residents with valid professional iqama or resident status, you are allowed to get a 1 month non renewable visa from any point of entry in the UAE. You only need your passport and bring a copy of your valid residence permit from Oman.
