Will I be able to see the Solar Eclipse on August 1, 2008?

I live in West Michigan. Where can i go to see it? What will it look like?

  1. No. This is clear from published maps.


  2. I'm afraid it won't be visible at all from Michigan. The only place in the U.S. which will see a partial elipse will be northeast Maine.

  9. Sorry, but no.  the only place in the Continental U.S. that will be able to see even a partial eclipse is the northern edge of Maine.  You are too far west.

  10. I think I read a few days ago that it will only be seen in Asia, Europe and the Northeastern United States and Greenland.

    I live in Ohio so we probably won't see it as well if what I read is accurate.
