Will I be able to see the partial eclipse on August 1st?

  1. It will be a total eclipse and I think you'll be too far south to get an appreciable partial eclipse.

    I looked for umbra and penumbra paths but didn't find any.

    Perhaps one of the other answerer's can provide a link.

Sorry, you won't be able to see any of it.  The only place in the US where it can be seen will be the very northern part of Maine, and even there, the partial eclipse will be so small you would probably not be able to see it if you were looking for it.  The moon just barely overlaps the edge of the sun and it will only last for a couple of minutes.

    Totality will be seen in the northernmost parts of Canada, Greenland, and then down through Russia into China.
